Day 1: Haridwar to Guptkashi
Begin your spiritual journey by being picked up from Haridwar early in the morning. Embark on a scenic drive of approximately 220 kilometers (8-9 hours) to Guptkashi through picturesque towns including Devprayag, Srinagar, and Rudraprayag. En route, marvel at the confluence of sacred rivers Bhagirathi and Mandakini and the lush Himalayan landscapes. Upon arrival in Guptkashi, check into your hotel and visit the renowned Ardh Narishwar Temple and Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Rest well for the next day’s pilgrimage.
Day 2: Guptkashi to Kedarnath and back to Guptkashi
Travel from Guptkashi to Gaurikund by road (about 32 km), the starting point of the 14-16 km trek to Kedarnath Temple. Trek through stunning mountain trails or choose a helicopter ride (optional) for easier access. Arrive at the majestic Kedarnath Temple, nestled amidst snow-capped peaks, and participate in prayers and aarti. Spend time exploring the temple complex including the Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi. After darshan and relaxation, trek or fly back to Guptkashi for overnight stay, reflecting on the profound spiritual experience.
Day 3: Guptkashi to Badrinath
Embark early on a picturesque journey covering approximately 190-220 km (7-8 hours) from Guptkashi to Badrinath via Joshimath. En route, enjoy breathtaking views of the Himalayas and serene river valleys. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and visit the sacred Badrinath Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Explore nearby attractions such as Mata Murty Temple and the holy Tapt Kund hot springs, where pilgrims take a purifying dip. Overnight stay in Badrinath to rest and prepare for the next day.
Day 4: Badrinath Darshan and Local Sightseeing
Begin your day early with prayers and darshan at the Badrinath Temple. Afterward, visit local sites like Mana Village—the last Indian village before Tibet—Vyas Gufa (a cave associated with sage Vyasa), Ganesh Gufa, Bhim Pul, the Saraswati River, and Narad Kund. Take time to soak in the tranquil surroundings and the divine atmosphere. Return to your hotel for rest and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Badrinath to Haridwar Drop
After an early breakfast, commence the journey back to Haridwar, a scenic drive of approximately 320 kilometers taking around 10-12 hours. Travel via Joshimath, Rudraprayag, Devprayag, and Rishikesh. En route, witness the confluence of rivers at Devprayag, where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi merge to form the sacred Ganges. Upon reaching Haridwar in the evening, the pilgrimage concludes with a drop-off at your preferred location, leaving you with cherished memories of a spiritual journey filled with devotion and divine blessings.
